PATRICK GBAYA 


Patrick has been part of Aberdeen Oil since the company began to operate in 2010; He has broad range of expertise and knowledge in finance, operations, human resources, IT, legal & compliance. Through strong leadership, he has successfully lead and directed various business units i.e. Operation, Human Resources, Marketing, Legal and Compliance, R&D and Projects. He has been working closely with company boards, contributing to problem solutions and executing decisions. Patrick has established links with local area for business activities and he has created and successfully delivered company CSR projects. Patrick has been an instrumental to the success of developing organisational Integrated Management System by effectively working with team members. He has successfully achieved various milestones, deadlines and company targets. Patrick has MSc in Financial Management and BSc (Hons) Corporate Communication.  He has chaired various board meetings and ensured that clear communication between each company level and external parties are achieved.  

SIVA MOHAN

Siva has an extensive, diverse and distinctive 14 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry in the technical and management areas gained from projects in the UK, Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and Africa. He has successfully completed projects directly and indirectly for various international companies such as Petrofac, Maersk Oil, Premier Oil, Dana Petroleum, SonaHess, Ithaca Energy, Marathon Oil, Axis Well Technologies, Dong, Petrobras, BP, LeTourne, Talisman, Fairfield Energy, Seaway Heavy Lift, Shell, Dubai Petroleum Company/ConocoPhillips, Sonavision, Apache, Afren, Parenco, Hibiscus Petroleum, Centrica Energy, Desire Petroleum and Diamond Offshore. Siva has also been part of company boards as an independent director and encompasses competencies that include management and technical engineering services to major oil operators in areas of Safety Case development support, HSE Compliance support, Operational Readiness Review, Pipeline Safety Management Systems, PFEER Assessments, Operational Readiness Reviews, Project and Management System audits and decommissioning comparative assessments. He has MSc in Operations & Services Management (Project: Distinction) and BEng in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Project: Distinction) and various certifications within the oil and gas industry. Siva has provided support as an Independent Director, Lead Safety Engineer, HSE Manager and Emergency Response observer for various companies. He has established collaborations with various companies and institutions and he is continuously looking to provide support, work in collaboration with, sharing knowledge and leveraging opportunities with other like-minded people from Entrepreneurs to Venture Capitals and Angel Investors.

TIM INGRAM

Tim has over 30 years’ of major hazard industry experience and set up SSCL having taken early retirement from Dana Petroleum plc in 2013. At Dana Petroleum Tim had been the Group HSSE Director which included a year’s secondment to Dana’s owners, the Korea National Oil Corporation in Seoul. While there Tim provided specialist advice on HSE, Process Safety and HSE Leadership, Strategy and Best Practice. Previously Tim was at Wood Group, where he was the HSEQ Director for the North Sea Engineering Ltd business and prior to that he was HSSEQ Director at Maersk Oil UK, and held similar and other technical roles with Ithaca Energy, Marathon Oil, Texaco and PSL Energy Services. Tim was the Health and Safety Executive’s Principal Inspector of offshore and onshore gas and pipeline facilities throughout Scotland. Until his secondment to KNOC he chaired the IOSH Offshore Group and has been an active participant in various Oil and Gas UK, IOSH and Step Change initiatives for several years. Tim holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and an MSc in Health and Safety Management – he is a Chartered Member of IOSH; a European Occupational Safety and Health manager; and a Registered Occupational Safety and Health Registered Consultant.

NORMAN THOMSON

Norman has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, both in the UK and overseas. He has worked in offshore HSE advisor roles in the North Sea and he has worked in Head of HSEQ positions in the UK, USA and Norway. As an HSEQ consultant, he now works globally for oil and gas companies, providing a wide range of services, including training, leadership coaching, behavioural safety and management system development. Norman is a full chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH), a member of the Institute of Management (IAM) and a fully accredited auditor (ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001). With an honours degree in chemistry and a post graduate degree in occupational safety and environment management, he is well educated and well placed to assist clients with a wide range of services and solutions. Norman is also an accredited member of the British Association of Investigators and provides a range of investigative and ‘expert witness’ services to his clients. One of Norman’s specialities is training. He is an approved trainer with IOSH, NEBOSH and City & Guilds. He has delivered training around the world for companies such as: Shell in Brunei, PDVSA in Venezuela, Sonatrach in Algeria, and KCA in the Caspian region. Norman delivers many bespoke training courses, including incident investigation, safety leadership, behavioural safety, risk assessment and safety for senior executives. In addition to his training activities, Norman operates as a management coach, providing mentoring and coaching both offshore and onshore, particularly for supervisors and line management. Norman has developed a bespoke approach to safety leadership and behavioural safety. Management system development and technical authorship are additional services that Norman delivers for his clients. As an approved auditor for ISO and OSHAS, he is well-placed to help clients develop their management systems, develop and write procedures and audit management systems.

Dr. DAVID PIPER

David’s career spans more than 25 years in the oil and gas industry, principally in the field of safety engineering and HSE.  He has held senior positions with operators, engineering contractors and consultants and is currently the Safety Engineering Technical Authority with a UK operating company.  From a background in consequence analysis and risk assessment for both offshore and onshore plant, David has delivered specialist advice and support for operations, major projects and brownfield modifications across a range of worldwide locations.  He contributes to industry work groups (through Oil & Gas UK) and has previously been the Chair of the O&G UK Major Hazards Management Forum, a project team member for ISO Standard development and a member of the Steering Committee of the Fire & Blast Information Group (FABIG).

PAUL CALDWELL

After graduating with a 2(i) honours degree in Chemical Engineering, Paul worked for Cremer & Warner on a variety of chemical engineering and safety consultancy studies as an Engineer.  Between 1984 and 1988, Paul worked in the LNG and Fundamental Studies department, British Gas, working on liquefied and substitute natural gas projects, development of fire and explosion consequence analysis methodologies and risk assessment techniques.  In 1988, Paul returned to Cremer & Warner as Project Manager / Lead Consultant and in 1990 became Manager of Safety Studies for the Aberdeen office, developing their offshore oil and gas business.  In 1993 Paul became an independent consultant working for drilling contractors, oil companies and the offshore support industry.  From 2005 to 2007 Paul was Principal Safety Specialist and Team Leader Risk Management, for the Consultancy Services department, Lloyd's Register EMEA, and then continued as an independent consultant.
